jeremiah Sun arvid Wild Somehow splendid, my lack of wings is nostalgic for No Wings. A moon cycle. Wings written on the star-patterned mirror of sky. Once hidden, once revealed. The invisible ink of the corrosive self, revealed to be a part of u, whole truth; Near and Dear Tenci <3 Favorite track: No Wings.

colehutchison i normally only buy death metal, but this album cover was like "hey why don't you give this a shot" and i was like "ok." expansive & chill with the perfect amount of weird. it's like Slint made a laid-back cosmic country album that doesn't annoy me like every other modern cosmic country album. prob cuz chicago rules. "forgot my horse's name" is the best song title on bandcamp. Favorite track: Joy 2.

Earthquake 04:14
The sun leaks on your face Like it’s the only place it could ever live It’s no surprise, it’s no surprise, it’s no surprise, mmm mmm It’s been a long time comin’ mama For you to give my legs a shake Now I find you, in the corners of my room Can you stay? Oh, honey I’ll keep a mug warm for you So you’ll stay Stay Stay Stay Stay
2.
Hair Sticks 03:12
Found your hair Mixed in with mine You’re a dog in the window I’m a loose piece of twine Now we’re lapping up water Like it’s the last time Time, time, time, time, time, time I gave you some blood You gave me some spit We’ll never know When to quit We’re taking the long way and I know why Cos’ we don’t need to know Know where we’re going Hair Sticks Hair Sticks Hair Sticks Hair Sticks
3.
Serpent 05:12
A pen and paper, can lie to you I’ve been writing this note too long I’ve been singing this song too long A snake can only eat so much Before it’s belly’s full Well I’m dragging mine across the ground What you’ll find when you look across the garden Is that they’re all dried out But your mama has told you baby Is that they’ll be coming back around Bite’s real deep, but it’s okay It’s too far down Blood thick like marmalade There’s no use now Your mama has told you baby It’s all done now
4.
Blue Spring 04:02
Cheeks wet again In the watery wind I can’t pretend I’m not A dog tied to a porch If spring is green Then I am blue If spring is green Then I am Blue Blue Blue A flower in bloom With hope in the soil Your petals melt their way Into my skin If spring is green Then I am blue If spring is green Then I am Blue Blue Blue Please don’t forget me, please don’t forget me I’m good I’m here, I’m good I’m here Please don’t forget me, please don’t forget me I’m good I’m here, I’m good I’m here I’m good I’m here, I’m good I’m here I’m good I’m here, I’m good I’m here
5.
Took me to the creek So you could have a drink Oh your name’s A current rising Ran me into trees No mud on your feet I’m a red Poison berry Rode you for sometime Combed your mane And swatted flies No matter what I do I can’t remember your name I can’t remember your name I can’t remember your name I can’t remember your name
6.
Joy 04:12
Joy goes far to find herself a home We kick up dirt and peel back our skin Fly fast, kiss fast, fight fast, gone gone Fly fast, kiss fast, fight fast, gone gone Fold me into something I won’t know Give me one good reason to forget This foxhole’s just a scab I keep to pick Joy makes sure to soak up all my sweat Make a cake forget to eat it Too late The wind’s already Brushed your hair I’m full of desire, don’t know if it’s mine Baby’s tired Joy give her kiss goodbye
7.
Joy 2 05:01
Man I’m leaving Today Woman, Joy I’m here, to stay I’m gonna find you Here and there In the trees and the air In the lines in my hands In my grandma’s laugh In a metronome When I’m finally alone And I pick at my skin To see what’s there Man I’m leaving Today Woman, Joy I’m here, to stay I’m gonna lose you Up and down Like a worm in the ground Like the hairs on your head When you’ve just combed it Like a new friend’s laugh That I’ve copied again In a senseless dream Man I’m leaving Today Woman, Joy I’m here
8.
No Wings 03:21
Bird with no wings Songs I can’t sing Your touch Is alive Like a ring Too tight A stain Too deep At the core, at the core, at the core Is this a game That children play Well let’s put It away I would lose The pieces A love Not mine Same blood, same blood, same blood
9.
Grass dance Insects hum Earth breathes Gets stuck Trees weep With tangled limbs Give it all to the wind My heart’s an open field My heart’s an open field My heart’s a field My heart, my heart
